Panchthar (पाँचथर)

Phidim Bazaar is the picturesque administrative headquarters and central trading town of Panchthar district, nestled in a beautiful mountain valley surrounded by green hills. The town is situated on the Mechi Highway and acts as the vital commercial link connecting the Terai plains of Jhapa with the mountainous north of Taplejung. The eastern ridges of Panchthar feature scenic, winding driving and trekking routes that offer direct views facing the famous Kanyam tea gardens of neighboring Ilam.
