Okhaldhunga (ओखलढुंगा)

Siddhicharan Park is a historic, beautifully maintained park located in the heart of Okhaldhunga Bazaar, the administrative headquarters of the district. The park is dedicated to the legendary Nepalese national poet Siddhicharan Shrestha (known as 'Yug Kavi'), who immortalized his birthplace in his famous poem 'Mero Pyaro Okhaldhunga'. The town itself gets its name from 'Okhal,' the Nepali word for a stone grinding mortar. According to local folklore, a large stone mortar still preserved in the bazaar was used by the legendary Bhima of the Mahabharata to beat rice. The historic bazaar features traditional Newari brick houses and vibrant markets.

Pokali Waterfall is a spectacular, thundering natural wonder and the second-tallest waterfall in Nepal, cascading down from an impressive height of 130 meters into the Likhu River basin. The town is famous for the production of 'Radi,' traditional hand-woven woolen carpets crafted using the fleece of local mountain sheep.
